We’re recruiting an outreach worker for our Open Data & Mapping Project

We’re really excited to announce that we’re looking for someone to join our passionate team of staff as an outreach worker on our Open Data and Mapping Project!

This brand new role will lead on all the public-facing aspects of our Open Data and Mapping Project. The project delivers on a key pillar of our organisational strategy, which is to make the diverse organisations, initiatives and groups that are already a part of the solidarity economy movement more visible. These initaitives include a wide range of activity, with varying degrees of formal structures, from initiatives like housing co-operatives, community land trusts and localised food systems, to informal childcare clubs and migrant savings groups. The Open Data and Mapping Project will meet this goal by producing data that describes these initiatives, and by creating software to display geographic maps of these initiatives.

We’re looking for a great communicator, someone who is adept at creating meaningful partnerships with organisations and people from all walks of life, and someone who has a high level of competency in the use of web technology. The role will be both challenging and incredibly rewarding, and offers the right person the opportunity to make a significant contribution towards supporting the growth of the solidarity economy movement in the UK.
