Ahead of the launch of Imagine Festival in Belfast, people with an interest in co-ops, cultural commoning, Universal Basic Income and more are being invited to sign up early to a series of sessions hosted by Voluntary Arts Ireland.
The sessions, part of a series called the Common Interchange of Ordinary Intelligence, are being run by leading thinkers and doers working to exploring the prospects for cultural transformation related to economics, politics, ways of living and making a living.
Speakers include Michel Bauwens, co-founder of the Peer-to-Peer Foundation, John Restakis, Executive Director of Vancouver based Community Evolution Foundation, Anne Ryan, from Basic Income Ireland, Karin Eyben, of Garvagh People’s Forest, Denis Stewart, from the IFF, Nat O’Connor, Lecturer in Public Policy & Administration at Ulster University and many more. Imagine Festival of Ideas and Politics is an annual programme of performance, discussion and debate exploring new ideas on politics, culture and activism in Northern Ireland. It aims to encourage participation of under-represented groups in political/cultural debate and to stimulate reflection and debate on difficult and controversial issues.
